Billy Joel - The Stranger

A great fan of Billy Joel's music since I first heard "The Stranger" in 1978, I took great care to make a suitable photomontage that honored the lyrics. In my interpretation, the protagonist is the only one who was able to see through the faces of "the stranger" at a trendy party and escape the trap, returning home in the dark, whistling through the streets of an empty city. The "cocktail party vixen" is the best of all these images.

Cream - In a White Room

One of my favorite songs, and one of my most elaborate photomontages, removed from YouTube for copyright reasons (along with a slew of others). A suitably Sixties protagonist at a train station, "where the shadows hide from themselves."

Kate Bush - Egypt

Kate Bush gets the Egyptian treatment for her song "Egypt" from the 1981 album "Never For Ever"

Lazy Nina

Lazy Nina was created as a protagonist for the song written by Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, but admirably performed by Greg Phillinganes. The photomontage took advantage of the beauty of the Fall season to complement the song.

Character Study

Literature, music and art are usually centered around a main character or characters - the same applies to the making of photomontages. Choosing a character helps "center" the successive images.

Maiden Voyage

There's nothing more exciting than writing the first page, tapping the first key, making the first blog entry. Our previous effort - Melegorm's Castle - fell short of the mark but can still be seen out there on the byways of the information superhighway. We hope to make this one a bit more fun, inviting and easier to write. Haven't found our legs yet, but we will. Hang on tight!
